I still love it though and I dont mind at all that it looks rather second-hand.I bought it at least 5 years ago now. It came from one of those big department stores and not a specialist leather shop. My old coat was very shabby and I was told by my girlfriend that I definitely needed to buy another one I think she was embarrassed to be seen with me.So I went out by myself. I think it must have been sometime in January when the New Year sales were on. My girlfriend wanted to come with me and help me choose something smart but I said I would do it by myself. We shop in very different ways. She always wants to try everything on and can spend hours buying nothing. My approach is quite different. If I see something that I like and it fits I buy it. She might be two hours in a shop while I normally only take 15 minutes.Anyway I saw this jacket and I thought that it looked really cool. I had always secretly wanted a leather jacket and because the sales were on and it was reduced by 50% I just bought it. In fact, I remember reading, only a few weeks ago, a review in the local paper about a recently-opened Indian curry house which apparently does really authentic Indian curry, so I cant wait to check it out sometime!And finally, if theres still time, with regards to why I would like to try this dish, well thinking about it, I would say that one of the main reasons would be that I havent actually tried it before, which I admit is a little surprising, seeing as most people my age have probably tried it at some stage or other. But firstly though, with regard to what the books about, well in a nutshell, it basically explains how all of us have thecapability and potential to become a genius, like DaVinci. And it outlines a few various things that he used to do, which we can also get into the habit of doing. So essentially, it puts forward some ideas on how we can all live to our full potential. Anyway, as for what made me read it, well if my memory serves me correctly, I wasbrowsing around in my local bookshop one day, and the books cover kind of just caught my eye when I saw the name DaVinci written in bold letters. So I read a few pages to see if it was any good, and ended up buying it.I should also mention the fact that Im quite a big fan of self-help books, because on the whole, I tend to learn quite a lot from them, and this book was definitely no exception. Just to give you an example, I would say Ive learned to become much more observant after reading this book, such as generally paying more attention to everything around me. And in so doing, its made me appreciate things a lot more. Of course, there were a number of other things I learned, but nothing else is coming to mind right now, and thats really kind of why I want to read the book again, because Ive forgotten a lot of it. So I took her advice, but it was a huge shock when I actually got into the subway station and saw just how many people there were. I mean, I knew that there would be a lot of people, but I never expected to see that many!Although looking back on it now, I suppose what made it worse was the fact that I was travelling during rush hour, so it was a lot more crowded than Im sure it would have been during off-peak times. And when I saw how packed the train was when it was pulling into the station, I remember thinking there was no way I was going to be able to get on. But I was in a bit of a hurry, coz I was actually already running late, so I had no choice really but to join the huge queue of people waiting. Anyway, I did somehow manage to make it onto the train, but I was pressed up against people on all sides, so it was pretty uncomfortable to say the least! I mean, it was absolutely heaving, and I literally couldnt move at all!Thankfully though, I didnt have too far to travel, coz if I remember correctly, I was only on the train for about 4 stops.
